Yin and Yang in Tillson: A Harmonious Fusion of Nature and Art
📍New Paltz, NY - June 9, 2024
Hudson River Valley Gardens is proud to announce its participation in The Garden Conservancy Tour featuring the harmonious work Yin and Yang in Tillson. “It is a pleasure and an honor to have been invited to be a part of The Garden Conservancy open days tour,” says Paul Goldbacher, founder of Hudson River Valley Gardens. Nestled in a scenic landscape, Yin and Yang emerges as a testament to the collaborative vision between Hudson River Valley Gardens and a homeowner nestled at the base of the Shawangunk Mountain ridge. This endeavor unveils a unique, captivating fusion of a variety of sculptures and earthworks in an open meadow, along the edge of the woods or reflecting by the pond. Yin and Yang in Tillson represents more than just a garden; it encapsulates an experience engaging all five senses. Guests are invited on a journey through meticulously curated displays crafted to evoke a profound connection with nature. Moss, red rock, cattails, and sculptural ceramics intertwine to create an artistic tapestry celebrating the beauty of the landscape. “At Yin and Yang in Tillson, we explore and embellish the relationship between art works, their installation and nature," shared Courtia Worth, the visionary behind this project. “The open field, and surrounding woods serve as an extraordinary canvas for art and atypical gardens.”
Central to the ethos of Yin and Yang in Tillson is balance - a harmonious interplay between the raw, untamed essence of the environment and the transformative power of artworks. The property beckons both seasoned enthusiasts and curious wanderers alike to immerse themselves in an oasis of tranquility and inspiration where beauty arises when nature and art intertwine harmoniously.
